Ahoy Convoy!

When it comes to convoys, it’s been a wonderful week with some incredible efforts and fantastic fundraising, topped off by some really positive news from Donington Park.

Bank Holiday Monday saw more than 450 vehicles take part in a Nationwide Convoy raising funds for British Food Banks which was truly a sight to behold. Truckers came out across the entire country, and the justgiving page has raised more than £11,000 so far. Huge congratulations from us to all those involved.

And last Thursday evening, a convoy of around 100 trucks headed from Chatteris to Peterborough Hospital raising funds for the local NHS, coinciding with the 8pm clap for keyworkers. Organiser Danny Whitmore of Goldstar Metal Traders has helped raise a whopping £18,500 and counting at his justgiving page. Well done Team Whitmore!

Videos from both events are on our Facebook page so please do take a look – you’re bound to spot someone you know!

And finally, Donington Park has this week started gradually opening up with testing and trackday events due to start again from Monday.

We’re hopeful race events might follow in July and then restrictions lifted even further so we get the green light for our Convoy In The Park on August 22nd and 23rd, followed by a second weekend of fun at our debut Convoy Cymru at Pembrey Circuit on October 3rd and 4th.

Our fingers remain tightly crossed… hope yours do too!
